A couple of weeks ago, we finished up a quick but important remodel for a homeowner in China Springs, TX. This one was different. The homeowner had recently been in a
motorcycle accident, and suddenly, his home—especially the bathroom—just wasn’t working for him anymore. He needed better accessibility, and he needed it fast.
What We Did
The main challenge was the bathroom. The doorway was too narrow, making it tough to get in and out easily, and the existing tub setup wasn’t practical anymore. In less than a week, we:
✔ Removed the storm door to make access easier.✔ Widened the bathroom door for better mobility.✔ Installed a walk-in shower—no more climbing over a tub.✔ Added a bidet for added comfort and independence.
Why This Matters
Most people don’t think about home accessibility until they have to. But when you’re dealing with an injury or mobility challenges, small things—like getting through a doorway or taking a shower—become major obstacles. This remodel wasn’t about luxury or style (though it turned out great), it was about making life easier.
Looking Ahead
Now that this project is done, the homeowner has a bathroom that actually works for him, and that’s what matters most. If you’re in a situation where your home isn’t meeting your needs—whether it’s due to injury, aging, or just a lifestyle change—it’s worth looking at ways to make it more functional.
If you’re in China Springs, Waco, or anywhere in Central Texas and need a remodel, let’s talk. We do everything from bathroom renovations and door widening to full home remodels and accessibility upgrades
